About Vioula Said

Vioula Said is an award-winning spatial designer with a career spanning over 10 years in the field of design. For the past 7 years, Vioula has developed her practice as an exhibition designer at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa where she has been instrumental in shaping immersive experiences for major multimillion dollar exhibitions. These experiences include blockbuster exhibitions like Terracotta Warriors and the groundbreaking re-opening of Toi Art as well as meaningful and intimate experiences to highlight the work of communities and artists in Aotearoa and beyond.

Vioula brings a strong sense of storytelling and engagement to her craft as well as a firmly established sense of design. Her eye for detail and innate understanding of human interaction ensure that every aspect of her work strikes the perfect balance between form and function, beauty and utility.

Vioula's work pushes beyond space and interiors expanding into furniture, product, graphic design and jewellery. In this sense, her work is limitless and she enjoys the challenge of working in a variety of scales.
